Elton's Views on Brexit, Support for Cliff Richard

We haven’t seen blue skies anywhere else in Britain,” muses Sir Elton, as Edinburgh glows in the low evening sun. “That’s because you voted to stay in Europe. You’re the only fucking sensible people in Britain.” He subsequently sums up the political mood of roughly half of the UK, Scots in particular, by playing I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues.

I'm voting to remain.

Sir Cliff Richard has spoken about how Sir Elton John, Cilla Black and former Prime Minister Tony Blair rallied around him during an investigation into historical sexual abuse claims against him.

It was recently confirmed that the allegations would not be pursued, after the Crown Prosecution Service said it had ended the inquiry due to "insufficient evidence to prosecute".

In an exclusive interview with his close friend Gloria Hunniford to air on today's Loose Women, Richard says: "Elton was one of the first people that called me.

"I can't use the language he used but he said, 'Go for their rotten throat'.
