Ed Sheeran & Elton Duet to be Broadcast on NBC

Ed Sheeran's three-night stint at Wembley Stadium will be the focus of a one-hour NBC special.

"Ed Sheeran - Live at Wembley Stadium" chronicles the pop star's trio of sold-out performances at the historic concert venue in July. The shows drew 240,000 audience members in total, comprised of so-called "Sheerios," his rabid fan base.

The special will include footage from his duet with Sir Elton John in addition to behind-the-scenes documentary footage and live versions of his smash singles "Thinking Out Loud" and "A-Team."

"I can't say that performing at Wembley Stadium was a 'dream come true,' because I honestly thought it was out of reach and didn't think it was possible," Sheeran said in a statement. "It really doesn't get any bigger than Wembley in my mind and it was an honor to join the select few that have headlined there. It's definitely a personal milestone and I'm so glad to share this special moment with all of my fans."

Sheeran's special might present a scheduling crisis for his teenage fans: it will air opposite Fox's "Teen Choice Awards."

"Ed Sheeran - Live at Wembley Stadium" will air Sunday, August 16 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
