David Writes About Fizz

Champagne wishes and caviar dreams … at Fizz! Robin Leach is known throughout the world for his fabulous saying, “Champagne wishes and caviar dreams!”

It’s only fitting now that I fill in for my friend while he is on vacation because with my gorgeous new champagne lounge, Fizz at Caesars Palace, we are fulfilling champagne wishes and caviar dreams every day.

Having just celebrated our grand opening in March along with Sir Elton John’s 67th birthday, Fizz is a luxurious new oasis on the Las Vegas Strip.

Many of our good friends came to join us, including Kelly and Sharon Osbourne, David Spade, Quincy Jones, Brandon Flowers, Britt Ekland, Matt Lauer, The Band Perry, Kevin Farley, Nicolas Cage and, of course, our dear friend Robin.

We toasted with champagne, dined and danced — it was truly a night to remember.

Todd-Avery Lenahan of Tal Studio designed Fizz to make you feel like you are swimming in a champagne glass, and as creative director of Fizz, I wanted to bring a touch of rock-and-roll decadence to the atmosphere.

Dozens of photographs from our personal collection line the walls of Fizz, making every guest feel like they are hanging out at an exclusive private party. One of David LaChappelle’s most famous photographs is a nude of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, which is situated above the Owner’s Table upstairs.

It’s always a conversation piece, especially over champagne. We have five of his photographs on display at Fizz, including one of Elton with Elizabeth Taylor, which has always been a personal favorite.

We have photographs by Lee Friedlander, whose work is uniquely American in its focus on classic jazz performers through his inspiration by Charlie Parker’s music. There are works by French photographer Guy Bourdin, Brit David Bailey and several more.

I would like to invite everyone to Fizz to enjoy the collection. It’s a part of me that is with Fizz all of the time, as well as something that makes Fizz part of a truly unforgettable Las Vegas experience.

Have a glass of champagne, bites created by our own personal chef, Gauthier Bialek, and some caviar. Let us treat you like a rock star. Cheers!

- David Furnish, Las Vegas Sun
