Elton John to Play Bonnaroo Festival

Elton John, Kanye West and Jack White lead a list of more than 100 acts and "superjams" that will be playing the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival this year. The four-day fest – which takes place from June 12th to June 15th this year on 700 acres of farmland in Tennessee – will once again feature a typically diverse lineup of classic and breaking artists from all genres. This year will be the first time John plays the festival, while White previously played it with White Stripes and the Dead Weather; West played an acrimonious late-night Bonnaroo set in 2008. Other artists scheduled to perform this year include Lionel Richie, Vampire Weekend, the Avett Brothers, Phoenix, Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex and Frank Ocean, among others.

As usual, the festival's lineup is musically diverse. Rock and indie bands who have signed on for 2014 include the Flaming Lips, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Damon Albarn, Neutral Milk Hotel, Cut Copy, Broken Bells, Cage the Elephant and Chvrches among others. The fest will feature appearances by electronic artists Kaskade, Disclosure, Zedd and Chromeo.

Hip-hop artists Wiz Khalifa, Chance the Rapper, Danny Brown and Ice Cube will both be performing as will soulful singers Ms. Lauryn Hill, Bobby Womack, James Blake and Janelle MonĂ¡e. And the metal groups Mastodon, Meshuggah and Deafheaven all have sets.

In addition to his regular set, Skrillex will be leading a "Skrillex and Friends" superjam. Actor Ed Helms (The Hangover, The Office) will host a "Bluegrass Situation Superjam." And the roster mentions another superjam not yet attached to an artist. The festival will also feature a performance by the Master Musicians of Jajouka, led by Bachir Attar, and featuring appearances by Billy Martin, Marc Ribot, DJ Logic and Shazad Ismaily.

The camping-friendly festival will feature over 150 performances in total on 10 stages. It will also feature a comedy tent with dozens of comedians.

Are you sure he is playing Sunday and not Friday? Obviously, it cannot be Saturday. I have not seen any official list on that.
