Elton on Adele, Gaga, Chris Brown

SIR Elton John has sung the praises of Oscar winner Adele.

The London-born singer, who already has a clutch of Grammys to her name, added to her awards haul at the ceremony, when she won Best Original Song for Skyfall.

And speaking from the red carpet at his annual Aids fundraiser viewing party, Sir Elton said the 24-year-old was the epitome of what "an entertainer should be."

"She's authentic," he explained. "She doesn't lip-synch, she comes on and she sings, she's the real deal.

"She's not slick, she's human, she's imperfect, she's what every entertainer should be."

FROM Robbie Williams to George Michael, Elton John has a history of trying to “save” embattled pop stars during their darkest hours so it is perhaps no surprise that he has reached out to controversial singer Chris Brown this time.

While many of Brown’s peers rejected him following his assault on girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, Elton has since offered his support and the pair seem to have formed an unlikely friendship.

“I met Elton about a year ago and he has been a good friend to me,” Chris revealed at Elton’s Aids Foundation bash on Sunday.

“It’s great to be here tonight to support him.”

Asked about the possibility of working with Elton, 65, the 23-year-old singer said: “Music is music. It transcends everything so I would love it if we could work together.”

The star, who was convicted for the assault but has since been forgiven by Rihanna, also confirmed the rumours that he and the Bajan singer are a bona fide couple once more.

“We are really happy,” said Chris, who just celebrated Rihanna’s 25th birthday with her in Hawaii.

“We are back together. She is the most beautiful girl in the world.”

Elton John was gutted that his good friend Lady Ga Ga couldn’t be at his Oscars Viewing party last night but says she is recovering really well after her emergency hip surgery. She’s been forced to use a wheelchair while she recuperates. He said, “I spoke to her mother just now, she’s recovering brilliantly, she’s already started physiotherapy, she’s got a great attitude, but her attitude about anything is never in question so she’s doing good.”
