EJAF Winter Ball Announced

By now you should be well aware of Sir Elton John's legendary party throwing capabilities - but this year's Grey Goose Winter Ball looks to be the most spectacular yet.

Having thrown some truly extraordinary bashes in the past (including creating a palace in Vauxhall for Jean Paul Gaultier and the only known instance of an el Bulli pop up in Wandsworth), this year's event takes place on 10 November in London's Battersea Power Station.

Having already raised £2.3m for the Elton John Aids Foundation, the Winter Ball boasts a particularly fine lineup: gourmet hotdog specialist Hélène Darroze doing the catering, GQ contributing photographer Ellen Von Unwerth designing a a portable cocktail bar and performances from both Labrinth and Emeli Sandé.

The theme? "The dreamy elegance of the south of France".

Well if anyone can recreate the Cote D'Azur in a decommissioned industrial site it's Sir Elton…

All proceeds go to the Elton John Aids Foundation. Tickets £450.
