Elton Nominated for Golden Globe

As the awards season gathers momentum, Gnomeo & Juliet, the hit animated film from Rocket Pictures and featuring music by Elton and Bernie Taupin, has already received several prestigious nominations.

Rocket Pictures announces that Hello, Hello performed by Elton and Lady Gaga in the Gnomeo & Juliet soundtrack has just landed a Golden Globe Nomination for Best Song. The citation is for BEST ORIGINAL SONG - MOTION PICTURE, HELLO HELLO - GNOMEO & JULIET, music by Elton John, lyrics by Bernie Taupin. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will present the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards for the year ended December 31, 2011 on Sunday, January 15, 2012.

Hello Hello has also been nominated as Best Song in the Critics Choice Awards.

Meanwhile, in the ANNIE AWARDS (Animation's Highest Honor) Kelly Asbury has been nominated for 'Best Director In A Feature Production' for Gnomeo & Juliet. Nelson Yokota receives a nomination for 'Storyboarding In A Feature Production', Jim Cummings is nominated for 'Voice Acting In A Feature Production' for his role as Featherstone in Gnomeo & Juliet and in line for an award for 'Writing In A Feature Production' are Andy Riley, Kevin Cecil, Mark Burton, Kathy Greenburg, Emily Cook, Rob Sprackling, John R. Smith, Kelly Asbury and Steve Hamilton Shaw for Gnomeo & Juliet.
