Elton Coming to Guadalajara
British pop superstar Elton John will perform in Guadalajara for the first time next year at the Omnilife Stadium.
John has asked fans to wear something white for the February 24, 2012 concert to signify peace.
A surprise invited guest star is expected to join John on stage during some part of the concert.
John will fly in and out of Guadalajara on the same day of the concert. He will be accompanied by four assistants and a team of 18 technical staff.
Tickets will cost from 450 to 3,000 pesos. Only 300 of the 3,000-peso tickets will be sold. These will allow fans access to the red carpet, a commemorative T-shirt and ID, a CD and a letter of thanks signed by the singer.
John is one of the most successful recording artists of all time, selling more than 250 million records worldwide.
A champion off LGBT social movements, his Aids Foundation has raised more than 200 million dollars since 1992.
Tickets for the Guadalajara concert will be sold at Mr. CD stores and at www.superboletos.com.
