The Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) has been following with great concern the development of a proposal by the Florida Department of Health to reduce the income eligibility requirements for the state's AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). If enacted, this proposal would eliminate access to life-saving medicine for thousands of low-income, HIV-positive Floridians.
EJAF Founder Sir Elton John and Chairman David Furnish have sent a letter to Florida Governor Rick Scott, urging him to immediately intervene. To date, Governor Scott has not responded to Elton and David's letter.
EJAF needs your help to make sure the message gets through to the Governor and other state leaders in Florida. We hope you will sign EJAF's petition to the Governor calling on him to immediately rescind Florida's harmful proposal.
