Elton John Playing Magic Summer Live at Hatfield House

It’s been announced earlier today that Sir Elton John is to headline a day-long music event at Hatfield House this summer. The event ‘Magic Summer Live’ is being launched by London radio station, Magic105.4, in association with BT, and will be held in the grounds of the historic house on Sunday 17th July 2011.

As well as the multiple Grammy and Brit Award winner, confirmed acts include pop-soul act Rumer and American duo, The Pierces. And in the run-up to the event, more acts will be added to the bill.

Tickets for the event are on sale now, with the cost of a standard entry ticket costing £60 plus booking fee and postage, and VIP tickets, with fast-track entry and grand stand seating on sale at £95 plus booking fee and postage.

The doors to the event will open at 12 noon, with the first act on stage at 2pm, and the event will finish at 10.30pm. There is no age restriction on the event, although under 16’s must be accompanied by and adult, and under 5’s will not be admitted in to the VIP area. However, under 5’s go free so this does appear to be an event that the whole family can enjoy.

Went to see Elton John, badly organised in so many respects. Speaker system appalling, had to queue for well over an hour for very food, couldn't hear music while waiting for food, very poor value for money considering tickets were £60.00. If you're only going to have 5 places selling food let poeple bring their own stuff in - and get the speaker system right.
