Rock legend Leon Russell + cult band Little Feat join forces for Australian live extravaganza!
Genius musician, songwriter, produce & arranger LEON RUSSELL is coming to play Melbourne and Sydney. He will be supported by special guests Little Feat, the legendary classic band fusing blues, R&B, country, and rock & roll.

Leon Russell's career runs the musical gamut from Sinatra to the Stones, the Beach Boys and BB King. He's written some of the most-covered songs in the pop songbook, and three Stones and two Beatles performed on his debut solo record

Just some of the artists who have performed Russell's songs include: B.B. King ("Hummingbird"), Joe Cocker ("Delta Lady"), Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock and Christina Aguilera ("A Song for You"), The Carpenters, Luther Vandross, Sonic Youth ("Superstar"), George Benson ("This Masquerade") - and many more.

His other well known songs include "Tight Rope" and "Lady Blue". But Russell, described as the ultimate rock & roll session man, has collaborated with hundreds of artists including Joe Cocker, Bob Dylan, B.B. King, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, John Lennon, J.J. Cale, Gram Parsons, Ike & Tina Turner, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, and The Rolling Stones, just to mention a few.

As part of Phil Spector's studio group that created the famous the 'Wall of Sound', Leon Russell played on many popular successes of the 1960s, including songs by The Byrds, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Bobby "Boris" Pickett, and Herb Alpert. He also arranged classics like Ike & Tina Turner's monumental "River Deep, Mountain High".

Leon Russell's star shines ever brighter now... his acclaimed 2010 collaboration album with Elton John called The Union charted in the Top Ten in US and Canada and went Silver in the UK ... and ... finally ... this year he is being inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011 for "Music Excellence"!
