Elton to Appear at Dusty Springfield Tribute?
HE has sung with Kiki Dee, John Lennon and even Eminem but now Elton John is taking to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall with four singing nurses. And with three midwives in the line-up they’re perfectly placed to give the new dad some tips.
The Nurses, who have signed a major record deal with Warner music, home to Elaine Paige, Katherine Jenkins and Russell Watson, are swapping the wards of North London’s Whittington Hospital for centre stage at the landmark venue on May 5 as part of a Dusty Springfield Tribute.
But the foursome, whose first album Guiding You will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, are laid-back about their imminent collaboration.
Cardiac nurse Sharon Robinson said: “I think Take That would be my favourite to do a concert with.”
