Elton to Play at Disabled Children's Ball

SINGER Sir Elton John will be the star attraction at a fundraising event for disabled and ill children.

The Rocket Man, 62, is the headline act at Caudwell Children’s Butterfly Ball.

His appearance will mark the 10th anniversary of the event, which has raised more than £11million for equipment, treatments and therapy for children with hundreds of disabilities.

The Charity’s chief executive Trudi Beswick said: “We are thrilled to have Elton performing. It will be a fitting celebration for our 10th anniversary.”

Last year’s ball, with Rod Stewart, 65, raised £1.7m.

This year it will be held at London’s Battersea Evolution on May 20.
