Merry Christmas from Elton John News!

On behalf of Elton John News, I would like to wish you all a very merry christmas and the very best wishes for 2009.

It has been an enormous year for Elton, with his largest year of touring ever. In addition to touring solo, with the band and with the Red Piano (in both Las Vegas and Europe), Elton has taken on an unprecedented amount of work with his collaboration with The Killers on the Christmas single "Joseph, Better You Than Me",continual work for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, further expansion of Billy Elliot the Musical, and global touring throughout many destinations that are new to Sir Elton.

In 2009 Elton will be touring through South America, kicking off a new world tour with Billy Joel and working on some very exciting new projects including a new studio album, taking Billy Elliot to South Korea and is rumored to be in talks on a new TV show, reuniting with percussionist Ray Cooper and writing an autobiography.

I am sure I speak on behalf of all of Elton's loyal fans, when I say 'Elton - enjoy your break at home in Windsor and we look forward to seeing you rock through New Year's Eve and into 2009. Thank you for your dedication to your fans and for all the wonderful music and love you bring into our world.'

You can rely on Elton John News to continue to bring all the latest news, tour information and rumors to you every day throughout 2009. Stay tuned for news as we progress to a new site in mid 2009, that will be more user friendly, expansive and interactive.
