Elton at the Billies & New Home Landscaping
ELTON John may have an album entitled Peachtree Road, but it can't hold a candle in the wind to an avenue of elms from a Wimborne nursery.
The Rocket Man has ordered another batch of young elms from Knoll Gardens to line the yellow brick road and the grounds of his honky chateau.
Knoll Gardens owner Neil Lucas said: "He did have a few elms going back probably two or three seasons.
"He has ordered three or four more, this time around.
"I don't know if he is doing an avenue or doing a copse.
"We have a regular courier that delivers lots of our plants. He hand-delivers the elms."
The trees requested by the singer were among a shipment of over 250, ranging from six to 17 feet high, that Knoll Gardens shipped in from America, to help replace the millions of English elms lost to the ravages of Dutch Elm disease since the 1970s.
The trees are Princeton Elms and they grow up to six feet every year.
