The MacDonald Bros new album could be set to be a ‘runaway’ success due to the support of none other than Elton John!
In April 2007 when the first MacDonald Bros album was at No 1 in the Scottish charts, the lads asked their record label boss to enquire if one of their heroes, Elton John would provide a song for them for their second album. The request was made more in hope than in anticipation and they thought no more would come of it at the time.
To their delight, Elton arranged for Craig and Brian to be sent a voice and piano demo of a song he thought would suit them. Now, six months later, The MacDonald Bros first single from the new album is a brilliant never before released song by Elton called “Runaway (Do You Love Me)”.
The lads have done an amazing job in recording this great soul influenced rock track and they are thrilled with the result. What could turn into a global smash for the likeable duo is released worldwide on download exclusively from I Tunes on the 30th September 2007.
It all fares well for Craig and Brian whose second album contains six self penned tracks as well as previously unreleased songs from several other of the worlds leading songwriters.
There is a new buzz about the MacDonald Bros who brought the house down to a massive 30,000 crowd at a recent festival and are wowing fans on their first headlining tour.
